Part A: Who are you?

  1. What is your name?
  2. What do you like to be called?
  3. What is your major?
  4. Who is your advisor?
  5. What do you hope to learn or do in this course?
  6. What are your concerns about this class?
  7. What is something important to you outside of academics? Why?
  8. Do you have any questions for me?

Part B: What are we doing here?

  1. Who will you work with on labs and assignments?
  2. How many times can you be late for class without losing points?
  3. What color is the cover of our textbook?
  4. Which of my office hours will you be able to attend?
  5. We have two excellent course mentors. Would you like them to run a mentor review session, or would mentor “office hours” be better?
  6. What days and times could you make it to mentor sessions or mentor office hours?
  7. Do you have any questions about the course that aren’t answered on the course website?

Part C: Important Administrative Tasks

  1. Sign up for a Significant Bits presentation date on the PioneerWeb Wiki. What is your date? Don’t forget to send me your topic at least two class periods before your scheduled presentation.
  2. Confirm that you have read and understood the academic honesty policy for this course.
