Presentations are scheduled for Thursday, December 18th. - **Morning Section:** 9am–noon - **Afternoon Section:** 2–5pm ## How long do we have? You'll have ten minutes, plus a few minutes for Q&A as the next group sets up. ## What will the presentation order be? Random, unless you want to volunteer to go first. Are there any volunteers now? ## Other Logistics Please plan to present using the MathLAN computer at the front of class to minimize switching time. Talk to me ahead of time if that won't work for your project so we can test your setup. --- # Finals Week Office Hours I will have office hours during finals week. . --- class: section, blue # Course Reflections --- # Course Reflections I like to end each semester by looking back at the things we did, sorted into these four broad categories: **Concepts:** What did we read about and discuss during the semester? **Experiences:** What did we spend time doing this semester, both in and out of class? **Skills:** What skills did you gain or develop as you worked on this class? **Others:** Was there anything else that doesn't fit easily into the other categories? *Take a few moments to think of examples you would file under each of these categories. I will give you a chance to discuss with neighbors once everyone has had some time to think on their own.* --- class: section, blue # Surveys --- # End-of-Course Evaluations ## Think carefully about your biases We know these evaluations yield some biased outcomes, especially for groups underrepresented in the sciences. Make sure your scores and comments are based on your experience in the class, not your preconceptions. ## Write comments I read every comment (after grades are turned in) and use them to help refine the class. Tell me what worked, what didn't, and why. ## Complete evaluations in class Please complete your evaluations as soon as I leave the classroom. They will close at the end of class time, so this is your one chance to give anonymous feedback.
--- # Data Buddies Survey The Computing Research Association runs the annual Data Buddies survey of undergraduate computer science programs. Once you've finished EOCEs, please fill out this survey unless you've already completed it in another class this semester.
