Part 1: Structured Control Flow

Why do high-level programming languages offer structured control flow primitives like if, else, and while, but assembly langauge does not? Write a 1–2 paragraph response.

Part 2: Leaky Abstractions

Are there any control flow structures in C that remind you of assembly? What are they? Why do they seem like assembly? What distinguishes them from other control flow operations? Write a 1–2 paragraph response.

Part 3: Looking ahead to procedures

We will cover procedures on Monday; what do you think makes procedure calls different from other types of control flow? What would prevent you from implementing procedures with the assembly instructions we have learned so far? Write a one paragraph response.
